The beginning of a new
year is a great time to evaluate our lives and
discover ways to help us stay organized and efficient in our daily
activities so we can devote the rest of our precious time to our
family. Since the temperatures keep dropping and the days are quite
short, I have tried to incorporate some hearty winter recipes to warm
you all the way to your toes. Even though the winter holidays have
passed, I will try to share some additional holiday planning tips for
the ones ahead.
Winter is in full swing
here in Virginia. Now is a great time to break out the crock
pot or have some freezer cooking sessions without worrying about
heating up the house.

Quick Tips
** Cook once, eat twice. Double your recipes and throw one batch in the freezer for later in the month.
** Select your meals based on what is on sale. If ground beef is on sale, fix several meals and freeze them for later.
** Go vegetarian. Cut the meat back to half the amount and fill up on more vegetables. Great for your budget and your health.
